Was today (Monday 27th Sept) a bank holiday for you ?

I know that our (Scottish) bank holidays and your bank holidays vary slightly, and was wondering if you had one today (and what about last Friday as well) ?

what I have discovered here in sunny Scotland, is that for the most of us, a bank holiday is a normal working day and we dont get paid extra

As far as I was aware it was a local holiday for us today. I am unemployed at the moment anyway, so all I noticed was less traffic and more mundane facebook posts. ("OMG I love holiday Monday's I just woke up at 1pm!!!!LOLS") Big shit, I do that every day.

It was a glasgow holiday today, Edinburgh had its September Monday of last week.
