Was today (Monday 27th Sept) a bank holiday for you ?

I know that our (Scottish) bank holidays and your bank holidays vary slightly, and was wondering if you had one today (and what about last Friday as well) ?

If it was a bank holiday, it seems that everyone forgot.
Or is that just a subtle way of you rubbing in the fact you get more than us?

This time of year is a bit devoid of Bank Holidays - last Monday in August and then next one is Christmas IIRC! Sad

what I have discovered here in sunny Scotland, is that for the most of us, a bank holiday is a normal working day and we dont get paid extra Crying or Very sad

I did have today off but it is included in my annual holiday allowance Evil or Very Mad

As far as I was aware it was a local holiday for us today. I am unemployed at the moment anyway, so all I noticed was less traffic and more mundane facebook posts. Laughing ("OMG I love holiday Monday's I just woke up at 1pm!!!!LOLS") Big shit, I do that every day.

It was a glasgow holiday today, Edinburgh had its September Monday of last week.

Purely a Scottish Glasgow/Edinburgh thing, no idea why.

Thumbs Up

Not totally sure why I entered this thread, as I don't qualify...but anyway, there are no Bank Holidays in England during September.

Though why this question is aimed at the English specifically I don't know...not everyone living in England are English! Confused

I think he was merely asking if England also experienced a bank holiday, aiming it 'at the English' was the way he chose to table the query.

I don't he was being racist or discriminatory.
