Anyone driving north at all today?

I'm off up to Dundee, hitching mostly and probably camping over-night. I'm in Banbury which is on the M40. So even if you're only going 20 or so miles north of me then would be great to know.

Thanks

(btw however I appear on here I am in fact a bearable and courteous (sp) person to have in your car)

No I'm guessing his willy warmer lives there but he's predicting he wont find a lift all the way there in one day, so is going to camp somewhere overnight

I was actually going to be going Reading to Littleborough today, but now going to put it off 'till tomorrow.

If you still need a lift tomorrow, can take you up that way - probably be going via Barrow in Furness, so could drop you around Kendall kind of way, though it'd probably be fairly late by then.

Nope, she's a Yorkshire lass but at a uni in Dundee.

And G I might end up putting it off until tomorrow depending on how soon I can do the hardest bit of the journey, i.e. getting out of my village in the arse-end of nowhere to the motorway.

Bring a lid and jacket just incase?

If I saw somebody hitch hiking with bike gear I would be pretty tempted to give them a ride just because.

If you do want a lift, can probably collect from your place if needed.
Not sure yet if I'll be leaving early (well 9am or so). Slight possibility I may be going to Wales first instead.

Basically if you're leaving early tomorrow and I'm still about then a lift would be brilliant. I'll PM you this evening if I'm still here, if you don't get a PM then assume I'm in a tent somewhere

I know I know, it's a stupid idea. Still, I've got to make my own mistakes and that.

I might have found the prospect more alluring Razz.

Actually going to be up there for a week and a bit, no doubt be popping over to B&Q etc in Rochdale occasionally.

Hopefully might get out for a ride, but a muddy one, at some point too.

When I was an unruly teenager, me and a mate decided to run away from home, thinking the usual London is paved with streets of gold thats where everyone heads, we figured that would be the first place theyd look for us sooooooooooooo

ended up hitch hiking all the way to Grangemouth from Rugby, thought it was a pile of shite, phoned mum who told us to go to the local police station, ended up in a kids home in Tillicoultrie overnight before getting flown to Birmingham the next day, was a pretty cool adventure really Very Happy

PS Dundee is a shithole too. so is Rugby Rolling Eyes
