I know the majority of members on BCF are not bothered by the latest and 'greatest' shiny new bike but I for one am, well I'm not that bothered but it's always cool to see whats happening! Not that I will be looking to purchase any of the new bikes but it's interesting to see what the manufactures think is progression, what is actually progression and the new look of a redesigned model.

So whats happening in 2011?

Speed Triple
GSXR 600/750
ZX10R
Z1000

I'm sure there are plenty that I have missed. It's interesting that Honda has not majorly updated the 600RR since 2007 and the Blade since 2008 and apparently they are not being changed for 2011, Is this because of the financial climate or are their bikes that good?

The Rieju RS3 might get its release (finally). Every one seems to think its the best looking 125cc baby race rep, I cant stand it myself. The Rieju RS2 looked different, looked like it had personality, the RS3 just sorta looks like the rest of them to me.

I am quite alone in that opinion though Embarassed

The 2011 ZX-10R is sounding very promising. Said to have about 200bhp. All just hearsay at the minute though, can't wait for an official release.

EDIT: I have no idea why I didn't see that you included the 10R. Rolling Eyes Missed it the first time I read your post. I'm tired, that's my excuse...

Heres some pictures of the new ZX10R, from a magazine in the US, not sure how real they are, but its a well known magazine, so can't see them using false pics!

I can't see 200bhp, its the same bore and stroke as the last one. I'm waiting for my local Kwak dealer to get more information, but I'm on the waiting list already!

Hopefully it looks better then these pics though Sad

Oddly enough no. It does bear a striking resemblance to the current gixxer thousand but its the new look 600 and 750.

Well thats according to last weeks MCN and the sketches the suzuki people released.

If only they'd used the 125EXC engine.

Anyway, real revelation for KTM is the 350SX:
https://www.motorcycle-usa.com/photogallerys/Alessi-9.jpg
The 'open' class died out some while ago and this further goes to show that all-out grunt isn't needed in the dirt.
Near the weight of a 250 with enough power to keep up with the 450s.
Should make an interesting enduro bike; I'd expect an enduro specific model will be along next time, maybe to replace the 400.

I've been currently drooling over a Christini, but nothing specifically new for this year - however it seems KTM may make an official Christini version next year, presumably as a 2012 model.

Lets hope the Kwak looks different to the pics above! Unlike the S1000RR, I don't think those looks will ever grow on me.

Anyone heard anything on the 2011 CBR600RR? I keep hearing mixed reports about a redesign.

Hmm. That's a tricky one.

Based on previous form it should be due a revamp. The last one ran from 03 to 06. Thinking

So 07-10 would seem logical, but that was pre-recession. Wouldn't be surprised if they eeked another year out of it.

If that 185bhp is at the rear wheel, then I am staying on the waiting list Very Happy

It actually looks pretty good in the MCN pictures!

They look like pretty official photos to me. They have the california reflectors on the bike, which is usually the image the manufacturer releases around the world.

The rear is to stubby, it needs to be thinner, I hope they bring out an undertail to tidy that up, and make it look more racey.

Apart from that, it looks pretty good!
