I have been turbinated
it was
but aren't busa brakes shit, far too much lever travel for not enough stopping
which you need from 150mph
the bastard forgot to tell me it was geared for top speed so reading UNDER by about 10%
but what a luvverly noise as the turbo spins up ____________________ 187.3bhp = 201mph |

What sort of setup? Decent response? |
NLR velocity kit, home fitted and then fettled by Big CC
Turbo pistons, rods and compression lowering spacer
only running 6psi boost, delivering about 230bhp
water injection kit fitted and with second stage boost manually selectable for over 400bhp
it was very ridable below 6000rpm, no worries about unexpected boost,
cornered like a busa and stopped like a busa (reluctant to tip in but stable once leant over, far too much brake lever travel)
but accelerated like a zx12
from 7,000 to 10,000 rpm it pulled hard (but not that much harder than my 12), my weight over the tank held the wheel down in 3rd but I think if I'd had a bit more time and the bottle to slam the throttle open instead of gently rolling it open we may have seen some sky
I have now been promised a go at the next 200mph event but I dunno if I want my 200mph cherry broken on a buggly
I know my 12 will do it, it just needs less headwind than last time ____________________ 187.3bhp = 201mph |

Busa brakes can be good, well ok at least... but I don't think their owners really pay much attention to them . |

newish pads, Hel lines, calipers stripped and cleaned recently - but they were just as spongy as other busas I have ridden
mine are awesome and exactly the same setup, same calipers, same lines everything
dunno what Suzuki did to them ____________________ 187.3bhp = 201mph |

Weird... I still blame the busa riders .
When I rode Mr Lucky's busa I did notice that as I was trying to slow from 173 .
Never been a great fan of the Tokico 6 pots, but with braided lines and decent pads they usually seem to be fine. |
