Anybody got it yet?

I think Asda and Tesco usually do it dirt cheap on launch night, so might pop out later.

Just wondering if anybody had pre-ordered it, and is it any good.

That's kind of like saying, "Why watch any sport when you can just go and do it?" Laughing Besides, I'll struggle to get twenty one mates together at midnight on a wet Tuesday night and I don't have my own floodlit pitch Razz

Mine's waiting for me at home, was delivered this morning.

The supermarkets have only just released their pricing:

Arrow Asda are the cheapest at £29.99
Arrow Tesco are doing it for £39.70 (but do have a deal on if you buy another chart game you can get it for £25)
Arrow Sainsbury are doing it for £25 if you spend £30 in store

Why do anything? Its entertaining to play with your mates online, full of beer, shouting expletives and celebrating the win. The banter and abuse are far better than watching Holby City with the mrs Laughing

Just to follow on from Davo's post...

Top of the pile is Asda with the comically low price of 97p. Naturally, there’s a pretty substantial catch too- gamers will have to trade in one of either Halo reach, Dead Rising 2 or F1 2010. If you’re not willing to part with some top grade games then Asda are still going down to £29.97. Asda are also doing midnight launches if you really can't wait and hate sleep.

The best deal looks to be courtesy of Sainsbury’s. By spending £30 in store, you’ll be able to pick up FIFA 11 for £24.97 and for £34.97 if you only want the game. All in all, it looks like a good time to stock up for the weekend.

Tesco are offering a similar deal but you’ll need to pick up a second chart game to get FIFA 11 for £25. Morrisons are doing the same but only as low as £27.99.

Hmmm that makes it hard. I have F1 2010 sort of enjoying it but fifa for 97p is soo tempting I may just have to do it. Is it only tomorrow that they are doing that?

What to do?

After playing F1 2010 I would be happy to hand my copy over with £15 for fifa 2011. Sounds a good deal really, I sold my F1 for £30 at work, and I think its about £34 new on shopto.net so handing over that pile of lies and bugs with 97p for Fifa sounds good!

Mine arrived yesterday morning, 'cos the missus had bought it for me. Result.

What do people think? I've done a few league games and then I created a Virtual Pro (striker, naturally). I prefer the new system where your skills increase as you use them rather than just choosing what attributes to spend awarded points on.

Ive been playing for a few days now and at times its no different to Fifa 10. There are some improvements but the menus and stuff are very clumsy and the whole number of things that can be done are a bit mind boggling at first.

Theres a problemw ith the player ratings online, we found out last night that everyone on the same team were getting the same ratings and not once did it go over 6.9. Bit strange considering the people on the other team could see completely different scores on their screens!

Im enjoying the play a bit more than 10. Theres a bit more freedom and some nice touches but it feels more like a patch than an upgrade at the moment.

The one thing winding me up is the music on the damn thing. Why the hell would you put the scissor sisters on a football game soundtrack?

FIFA drinking game is a lot of fun.
Red card or goal is 4 sips
Yellow card 2
Corner, throw in, off side and foul are all 1
Gets you pretty trashed if playing against someone who is a lot better than you Rolling Eyes

Just got FIFA 11 from Sainsburys for £24.97 with my local shop. Played a bit last night with my mate and it feels and seems a lot more realistic, no more ping-pong passes, more weight to the players and the ball, 360 degree tackling, handballs and penalties are nearly impossible.

Also the fact you can add custom sounds is enough for me. Cue Yeovil Town coming out to the Liquidator and then later on the Champions League theme at Huish Park. Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

Well swapped in F1 this morning, and I am glad I did. I know everyone says it when every new fifa comes out but WOW its a lot better than the last one. It has also meant that I have spent all day playing it instead of the course work that I should have been doing Embarassed

Not picking on you personally but in general I disagree with this statement. I only get to play Games round mates as I no longer own a console so my viewpoint may be different as I only ever play against other people really, unless we do a tournament.

I generally think however that although FIFA 11 is much more realistic than 10 and the world cup version it isnt as much fun as a game. Perhaps a bit too much of a simulation to be fun.

Amazing graphics and controls though, especially the goalies.

I haven't had one yet! Looking in the manual, the controls seem the same as FIFA 10?

Nope, you've got some weird bar which goes from red to green to red, and you have to press when the cursor goes on the green. When you hold the shoot button you select the strength on that, and you also have to direct somehow, but they seem to go either straigh and very weak, or crazy hard and to hell Confused

You have to aim by moving an imaginary circle to where you want it. so move the left stick until you think it is in the top corner and then press and hold B in the green bit until you have enough power and it should be going in
