Few quid more and they are blank but it means you can flash with whatever version you want.

I emailed the guy and they are upgradeable but NOT downgrade, able.

looks like it comes with everything you need just not loaded so ebay dont pull them.

AND its UK so should be here by Monday.

what kind of things can you do with this ps3 jailbreak. not really interested in playing backed up games. much more interested in installing a linux OS and streaming things from my server to the PS3 and playing all my HD movies, i.e using it as a media server/player.

there are a few guys working on getting linux back up and running on 3.41 if you use twitter a guy named @marcan42 has created a custom boot loader named AsBestOS.

I went and bought a second hand ps3 which had 2.41 on it (it was cheap too) and upgraded to 3.15 so i have the jailbreak and still have otherOS as Sony removed this at 3.41 i believe.

Mainly using mine for old emulators zsnes etc and it works rather well.

Regarding the OP I'm using https://www.minimususb.com/ I got it off ebay for £27 including postage so a bargain compared to some.

I received the original PS Jailbreak ordered from www.gadget-asia.com. It works very well with my PS3, whose firmware stays as 3.41. I have backed up several favorite games to the HDD. We also received emails from them saying the producers had been working to upgrade the mod chip. It seems to be compatible with 3.42 and 3.5, but I'm worried to try it, so I keep the firmware as 3.41". Hope it will be upgraded soon.

no it doesn't. not since the latest firmware update. they removed the install another OS option. the OS was also only installed as a virtual OS and it was very slow.
