Hi all

I’m of to Spain for MotoGP in September it’s to late for me to ask for tips regarding seating as I have got tickets booked

But I will be in Spain for ten days which will include a stop in Andorra for a couple nights other than that any tips on routes places or general must see
Will be appreciated

Excellent,

I am thinking of going there next year. Did you drive down there in a day or did you stop off somewhere en route?

Not quite sure which route to take or where to stay at the moment. Have never toured abroad before.

I sail to Santander from there its only 310 miles it’s near a town called Alcaniz but the closest I found accommodation was in Zaragoza
62 mile away
They had camping as usual but the wife is not in to that plus the 62 mile was a great road so I did not mind that

Motorland was very easy to get to and all the roads round it were great if they hold it next year I will be going back

As a matter of interest here I own an apartment on the coast about 80 miles from the circuit. I do let it out so one to think about. Blinding road up there too. The N232 if you want to check google maps Smile

I went down to this . . . via the Alsace region of France, skirting the Alps, Grenoble, Millau then into Spain (i.e. not direct).

There were hardly any Brits down there which surprised me.

I rode down on my own and met the girfriend down there for a 2 week beach holiday South of Barcelona near Tarragona.

Whilst she was on the beach I was up in the hills Wink . . . some great riding around there.

In middle of holiday we went to the GP. Circuit was about 100miles away.

My only dislike with Aragon was the grandstand tickets I pre-bought meant I could only enter the circuit via a certain gate . . . basically I couldn't walked round the circuit and was stuck in one place. . . . . oh and before/after the race all the roads turn one way, so if you miss your turning at the circuit you'll end up with a 80 mile detour into the middle of no-where Embarassed .

Now I did not mind the Aragon set up I thought It ws well sorted I rode in from Zaragoza about 62 mile and not a bad run

as for getting in and out I only seen one road out and the police were letting you go both ways unlike our police at last round of BSB at Oulton park
Have you tried to fight your way out of Brands or Donington?

As it looks like you like good ride out try Brno if you have not done so yet they let you wonder good ride out too

PS what did you think of Millau did you spend any time in the tarn area

I hope to do Brno next year Very Happy

I did only fly through Millau, but the whole area is great. I arrived via the Gorde du Tarn . . . which I can wholeheartably recommend (especially in Sept -imagine it can get busy in the high season).

My bike broke down in the Gorges du Tarn Evil or Very Mad but yes, it's a great place for biking. I know the Alsace region pretty well too, stayed in Colmar several times.
