Bar job?

Hey all,

I'm testing out a bar job on friday, if all goes well i'm quiting Music land.
ive got my theory test soon, how many people have failed that?

I havent got my Direct access... this friday... thought i would be able to do my theory before then.... Doh!

Anyway? Just a quick question run:

Who works here? Who goes to school?
What do they do?
How much do u get paid?


Just bored... reply if u wish...

I get paid £640 a month... for selling guitars and getting pissed at fags and 'other people'....

I am a freelance film maker (I suppose you could call me an indie)

I make as much money as possible as often as possible and I've done loads of bar work in the past - You either love it or hate it - I loved it!!!

I just passed my Theory at the begginning of the monrh with no revision but I have been driving cars for 8 years and had a NSR125R-K for two years or so.

I only just passed so I would advise a few nights on the books.

OK, I'm bored so I'll answer.
I didn't have to do the theory test, I passed my test before that was brought in.
I work for Vodafone in Newbury as a Network Manager.
I do as little as I possibly can get away with!
I get paid very well (although not as well as I would like!).

im 16 years old and i work for a werehouse in lenton earning £610 per month.

i also do as little as possible while trying not to get caught

Should hopefully be getting a new job soon got some interviews next week for security job

I'm doing a PhD in Genetics. I get over £1000 a month, but I don't have to pay any taxes, so it isn't a bad wage.

im goin into second year of sixth form, studying Physics, Economics and Systems A level's i work part time at a garden centre for 27.50 a day

I work as a consultant engineer (unfortunatly for the government, which means I dont get paid quite as much as I should). I aint gona tell you guys how much I bring home a month though

still have to do my DAS yet but its planned (just got to watch the money the next few months as I have a ll my insurances etc due in one month and buying a house didnt help my money situ either (or the projector for the front room rather than a tv (but the 7foot widescreen makes up for that ))

I have a cd with the theory tests on (which I have to take soon!) but everyone I've taklen on that I've passed, owned cars since I was 12 and passes my driving test a few months after I turned 17 so been legally driving for 7 coming up 8 years

It appears, the Bar job isnt too bad, the pay was less then every else got but maybe it was just because it was my first 2 nights... Thye have live entertainment from 10pm, and the waitresses are pretty fit.
had a couple of Hen nights last night so it got pretty hectic... got home at 2am...

For 15 hours worek every else got paid £75... i got paid £60...

Is it cause i'm South African??

But the scary thing is, They arent lookin for full time just yet, so it's only 2 days a week id be working.... and i think my job selling guitars has already come to an end...

Sounds good, i've always wanted to try a bar job but it never really happened for me.

Well, It's alright... but the people are beginning to annoy me, the bosses cant understand my accent, and they think i wanan do it as a career whih isnt happening cause i wanna be a pilot. It's £4/hr and theres fuck all to do, and u get shouted at for doing nothing... when there really is.... fuck all to do.

If they chuck me out, i'l only be working fri and sat at this bar... but if i were working full time it would be cool... cause id get like £800 a month and have days off until 6pm and have sunday and monday off...

Which couldnt be better, i can sleep in, watch films/eat/go to town/go for a ride then go to work.

but at the mo, as they have only been open a week... the weekdays havent picked up just yet... although friday and saturday was mental.

Another great worry of mine is... i will for fucking definate have my bike by end next month... if i can keep up £650 odd a month.
So it's a month later then i expected.. as i said august, but its gonna be september.

Maybe i'l try and bribe the boss to let me work weekdays anyway, even if i dont have any work to do... cant be a crime ey?

i'm 17, one more year at school if i can be bothered and i work in the summerand get about 700 quid then sponge off my parents for the rest of the year.
hence the shit bike and cheap gear.
