I've had my Shoei Raid 2 Helmet for two years now, I've treated it like a bady always in its bag, never been droped and its always kept clean.

Just today i've noticed the paint (matte black) coming off just under the air-in vent. It seems to just be crumbling/rubbing off Shocked.

Now i'm not sure what to do. I believe Shoei has a 5 year warrenty on their helmets, but that exclued damage due to rought useage (I sometimes grasp it there). Do you think i can claim the warrenty? And how i would go about doing that?

And if i can't claim what can i do to stop it crumbling and stop water seeping in, soaking the foam?

Thank,

Vince

Bag would be the equivalent to a stroller, car seat or one of those baby backpacks........... Smile

The paint is just paint. I can't see why it would be any more or less likely to soak the foam if the paint is coming off. The helmet shell is a composite material that is waterproof in its own right.

Would the warranty even cover paint damage?

Because every time I let her out and untie her she tries to escape Neutral
