Your back wheel has clearly fallen off...

Giz a clue.

So. You pull the lever, it moves as normal but the bike doesn't slow down? Or the lever is stuck solid? Or the lever has gone slack? Or you try to brake and there is a horrible noise and you don't slow down?

Lever? Back brake? Is this a pushbike? I have no idea of the model in question.

Does it need a back brake? They don't do a lot even on proper bikes.

Well. Number 1 suspect would be that the brake shoes/pads are worn out.

How are you with a spanner, do you do your own maintenence? They aren't exactly difficult, but can be tricky if you aren'y used to working on your bike. A manual will help a lot if you haven't done it before.

Are you sure its not in need of adjustment?

How far does the lever pull back to? A mate of mine thought the brake was shite but the lever went all the way in and he thought that was normal! Exclamation
