Headlight fuse blowing on 2008 Hornet

Hi

So a strange one. My 2008 hornet main headlight stopped working this week but the high beam was fine. I thought it was a blown bulb so I brought new bulbs. Went to change them this morning and the old bulb is fine, it has not blown. I change the bulb anyway and then try to start the bike to double check its not a faulty bulb. At this point my headlight fuse blows. Thinking it was shorting I replace the bulb into the holder and do everything up. Two fuses later it is still blowing the fuse as soon as I start the bike.

Any ideas??

Something has to be shorting somewhere. Examine the wiring from the headlight back to the battery for chafing, it may have chafed through to bare wire to short out on the headstock on along the line of the fuel tank.

also check the left switchgear
