Hi to everyone,

Just stumbled across this forum with a random google, looked good so i signed up.

I've been riding just over a year did my DAS a couple of years ago but took a while before getting my first bike which is a GS500 ( wont tell you what year Embarassed ). I got into biking a bit late but i'm trying to make up for lost time!

I plan to keep the GS through this winter and then move onto something a bit nicer in the spring, i use the bike everyday for my commute to work 50mile round trip. Its beginning to get a bit cold so i might have some questions about muffs to keep my poor hands warm which i will post in the correct section.

I look forward to chatting and more importantly meeting a few of you on a ride out some where soon.

Ian

Welcome to the forum Ian!

I also just picked up a GS500 ('92 shhh) and plan to be riding it through the winter Smile

It is due a respray first though to gloss white as the colour scheme is currently a horrendous purple/pink mix which I'm not feeling!

Where abouts are you from?

What a coincidence mines a 92 as well, 'EN' if i've got the year code right.

I'm from Halesowen in the West Midlands.

I've been very pleased with the little GS but then i don't have a lot to compare it to!

Hi and welcome Smile
There's currently a thread about keeping your hands warm in the general chat section i think. Might be worth checking out.

Welcome to BCF

I can recomend Hein Gerickes Predators as winter gloves, known in our house as the Ziodburgs.

I also have a pair of brushguards fitted to kill the windchill which help a lot.
