Is the fuel line partially blocked?
Is your fuel tank cap blocked or partly blocked
Are your points worn?, or is it a non-points model?
Is the coil breaking down under load? or as it warms up?
does you plug cap have a resistor in it? is that playing up and interfering with sparks?.

just a few ideas? possibly? maybe?

Fuel goes off after a while. Also water can get into it making it run like crap. Dirt and water in the bottom of the tank can sometimes get sucked into the system when the bike runs low for the first time in ages. Follow the fuel pipe and see if you can find a filter that might need cleaning.
