Well basically after a long hard think i have decided to hand my notice in. Now after having no support due to health problems from work, and working dangerously short staffed (work in a nursing home) and lastly, them not giving me time off to care for a very poorly Gran who has cancer and dementia, that this is the last straw.

Now i have quite a few debts, which doesn't help leaving my job but i'm sure a phone call could sort hat out.

I have an interview for another job on the 18th of October, which is less hours than i'm doing now, but a lot more money. And they seemed keen after a telephone discussion.

Just wondered if others would do the same if they were in the same posistion.

Would I quit a job that I hated for another one, that was less hours and pays more money? Have you missed something out of the equation, because I can't see any reason you wouldn't do it. Confused

Or are you asking if you should hand your notice in before you have another job? If so, then only if you can afford it. Don't be hasty because it could be months / years before you get another job.

I'd make sure I had a job to go to first and then resign - especially with debts.
