2T OIL HELP!!!!

hi guys,
me being a bit of a T**T put some really cheap £3 oil in my scooter after it clogged up the exhaust i cleared it all out, just notsure what oil to put in now.

i have 2 diff bottles in my garage

f ive completly drained my tank just not sure wich one to fill with.

what was the 3 quid oil? I run carplan 2 stroke oil from asda in my bike with no problems.

complety drained the tank? what u mean the 2 stroke oil tank?

Or have you been premixing it with the petrol?

Your bike doesn't need either of the 2 above. Its not a high performance bike.

Your oil pump setting could be out or if premixing you have added too much oil to the tank.

it was trago mills value, mineral oil, just smoked alot and clogged the silencer same happened to my friends bikes, i dont see the point in buying more oil as i already have the 2 above just wondering wich one to put in as i need my bike for college tomorrow

Not sure how you empty the tank but make sure you bleed the oil system if you have drained the oil tank as you would have let air in the system. Cos if you get an air lock and then no oil gets to the engine then expect the worse!

Your might have to premix a little with the petrol while the oil in the 2T tank bleeds itself. If not bleed the proper way.

i ran my rs50 on £1 2 stroke oil,the carlube stuff and it ran amazingly

My mito ran on premixed 4t oil while i was bleeding the oil lines

A bloke I used to work with used to 'filter' the oil he took out of his car through an old pair of his missus' tights and then ran his Honda H100 two-stroke on it. Did it for years, bike rusted away before the engine gave out. Used to smoke like Hell but it never bothered him, only those who followed. Wouldn't recommend doing this on something like an Aprilia 125 or 250, a bit touchy on what oil used and bloody expensive motors.

i dont think theres any point using special expensive oils, even 4t oil in 2 strokes.

I can understand in things that are highly strung like mitos and rs's and maybe a tuned rd engine, but other than that i think its word of mouth bullshit started by 'mechanics' to make a sale.

:S how do i bleed the oil system, ? all i did was pull the pipe of the bottom of the tank then put it back on again

I used lawnmower style 2 stroke oil in my moped loads of times with no issues. In my Aprilia RS125 I always used synthetic 2 stroke oil, but unless you are riding a sports 2 stroke there's no point.

If he is having a problem fouling plugs with cheap 2t oil then he will most certainly get it running 4t oil!!

Basically 2t oil is DESIGNED to be burnt with minimal deposits, 4t oil isn't.

Ive no doubt cheaper 2t oils will work fine. But i do find they leave more in the way of deposits behind.

Ill never pay more than a tenner for a litre of oil though. Useing rock oil 2stroke semi at the mo for £6.99 a litre.

Considering the bike is only used on a sunny days and clocks up probably less than 3000miles a year, i dont mind paying a bit more.
