Leeds metropolitan university are running a biker first aid course on the 20th november.

Its a one day course, costs £45 and covers the basics of providing essential basic first aid to bikers at the scene of an accident.

I am going as I have been on the lookout for a course nearby for a while now.

The northwest ambulance devision have been running these courses for a while which have been very popular.

Bit sad that you have to pay though. But still, a great idea. If I lived closer, I would be going!

I'm not at all surprised you have to pay. First Aid Courses through work were really expensive (£ hundreds), at £45 for a day it seems like a bargain IMHO which is the real surprise! We had a bike specific one through the local bike club as someone had a medical training contact. Unfortuantely I couldn't attend the date it was arranged for but it was highly recommended by those who attended.

I'd certainly have been interested if I was closer. It doesn't matter how often you attend basic first aid courses, you always learn something useful and ideas change over the years anyway. Look forward to hearing the post course report back!! Thumbs Up
