Yes you can, but the cost for insurance is exactly the same as if the bike is full power, which means you'll never get insurance in a million years.

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.

Even if you do get insurance what is the point of a 33bhp 'busa? And I am sure that your dad wouldn't want to ride his bike with a 6th of the power. Plus 33bhp isn't much to be pushing the 250kg or whatever they weigh. To sum up it is a stupid idea, go out and get your test done before looking at getting a bike

Isn't this like the stupidiest thing i ever heard? A 16 year old wants to restrict his dads hayabusa which he will not be able to insure anyway, or ride for that matter.

I estimate it will cost you between 3000 and 10,000 to insure. People on here have got stupid insurance quotes before to see just how high they can go. Data they enter for these is always a 17 year old male attempting to insure a hayabusa.

As your asking about insuring a hayabusa you clearly want the fastest bike you can get, or a bike that looks like it's the fastest. We can of course link you to bikes, but i'm willing to bet you will continue to enquire about the fastest / fastest looking bike mentioned repeatedly asking if it can be restricted etc. This isn't because we all hate you or anything, but because this happens quite a bit and people have got bored with trying to help.

My personal view on restriction of suitably powered bikes....

Hi

Think there is a restrictor kit available for the 'busa, but suspect it would be an awful bike to ride restricted. Virtually zero useful throttle.

All the best

Keith
