Hi,

The other week on a road trip with a good friend, we switched bikes for the ride home.

We stopped at lights and were chattin when the lights changed.. and my mate jumped to get moving...
Revs right up and dropped my clutch.. And wheelied for a good 50 - 60 metres with a look of sheer terror on his face.

At first i was furious thinking "DROP MY BIKE AND I WILL MINCE YOU IN YOUR OWN!"..
Then when the front wheel touched down again and he carried on i couldn't stop laughing.

Anyway, I haven't seen someone wheelie a 125 before.. and i'm guessing with it not being hugely powerful.. Its hard to do it in a controlled way?

And i'm not sure i have the balls to just let go of my clutch like that...!

You can wheelie any bike Thumbs Up

With a scoot, you do what you do on a push bike to wheelie.

My brother dumped the clutch on his bike, but gave it too many revs before dumping the clutch. End result him flat on his back and the bike sliding down the road.

I thought it was funny Razz

Yes, it just takes a lot more skill to keep it going indefinitely compared to a bigger bike, where you get a lot more free-play to get it to the balance point before running out of revs.

Well it may have been a foot or 2 more... It wasn't an impressive wheelie.. However he recovered it well and it was the look on his face that made it awesome.

Somedays i really want to give it a go but my reservations about killing my bike which i've managed to keep shiny are stopping me.

It does look awesome when they're controled though...
Any more accidental wheelie stories? Haha.

I wheelied my mates 125 with him on the back, he wasn't expecting it and we only went down the road just to see what it was like to have pillion on it

needless to say he was not impressed, and i was laughing even after we put the bike away Laughing

Although, I do realise now how easily it would have flipped, as my mate wasnt holding on he tipped right back Confused (and i saw his legs fly up lol)

We were sat outside the clothing depot of George Whites in Swindon a few weeks ago and, for those who don't visit, there's a CBT training area outside the showroom there. Whilst we were sat there two fat lasses were having their first goes on the 125s they have.

It was hilarious to see one of them pile on the revs, dump the clutch and wheelie uncontrollably across the car park with her legs flailing behind her and the porky old geezer doing the lesson chuffing alongside her trying to grab hold of her clutch, shouting, "Let go of the throttle! Let go of the throttle!".

My 125 used to wheelie great as long as you could jump down on the pillion seat, dump the clutch, switch to pillion pegs before you slid off and find the balance point before the power died. Took ages to get it but at one point I could just keep going on the back wheel
