Creepy Crawlies in UAE

It's just occured to me that if I'm going to be spending 2 weeks in a tent in the desert then I ought to know what kind of stuff there is animal wise. I so far only know there will be Camel Spiders a plenty (if you have not seen these you can watch them eating lizards alive on YouTube).

Anyone know of anything else to be wary of?

Don't know about the creepy crawlies, you might want to watch out for American 'special' forces though.

Don't know about the creepy crawlies, you might want to watch out for American 'special' forces though.

Nothing that looks like that should exist, I am officially denying it. On the one hand I can accept the photo is real but the organism/s (I can't even tell if its one or two things) contained there-in do not comply with my reality.

Moonie, use hotels. In fact, just don't go at all, those things could just break the door down.

tbh I'm hoping to run into a load of dangerous snakes and stuff just for the experience, they're fascinating. And fucking giant beetles and stuff are amazing.

You'll never sleep in a tent in the UAE unless its air conditioned, its just too freaking hot even in the winter.

Its too hot to ride motorcycles most of the year round...
