Hi Guys,
Ok so my birthday in 2 weeks and everyone is asking what i want...
I dont really know what i need! but i could do with soem winter gloves as i only have summer ones (the winter ones are fookered).
Can anyone reccommend some good winter gloves for less than £50

My summer gloves are Richa Magma's and are great summer gloves and only cost £35 but not sure what their winter ones are like?

I just bought some of these. I have no idea if they will be good or not though. I got them on the advice of the guys in the shop who were very enthusiastic about how warm they were.

Nothing wrong with cheap gloves. I've always bought cheapies. Never more than £25 simply because they end up stinking after a few months and as much as I have tried all the methods covered before nothing really cures it.

For winter I'll just wear a cheap set of inner gloves with the heavier gloves. That keeps the most of the cold out.

Spada Blizzard 2's maybe. Size is a bit funny, but they can be found for £15.

My dad swears by these at winter, They're warm, but I couldn't get used to having my fingers split the way the glove does (think star trek vulcan sign).. Makes it uncomfortable imo.

I had a pair of these last winter:
https://www.sportsbikeshop.co.uk/product_images/richa_gloves_leather_9904.jpg

They were crap, let water instantly through even in the smallest of rain and weren't warm at all.

I've just bought these:
https://www.sportsbikeshop.co.uk/product_images/rst_colorado_glove_gun.jpg
Which seem better, warmer and although I havent tested their waterproof-ness, a few people who have used them said they are ok and will last through the worst the weather can give. I'm gonna get a pair of inner gloves just incase.

Held polar winter (£35) and spada blizzard (£20) are very warm and waterproof-ish.
If you fancy breaking the bank I recommend you "held freezer" gloves.

Hi

JTS do some similar cloven hooves which are a bit cheaper (I think). Work pretty well and are leather.

All the best

No but I had Spada Storms and they were a load of ballbag. Waterproof up to a point but crap linings that end up wrapped around your fingers with no feel at all. Not breathable in the slightest either so if your fingers didn't get soggy through rain then sweat got you in the end.... warm and dry up to a point!

I have the Enforcers, used last winter (frickin cold) and whilst have slightly padded feeling they certainly stopped the cold and proved to be waterproof, so deffo Thumbs Up for these; and look good too!

You should be able to get a very 'high spec' pair of gloves for £50 if you go second hand.

Another vote for the HG Pathan gloves.

Buffalo do something similar (can't vouch for the durability/warmth though), £30 from M&P - click here for link/info

Got the HG lobsters too, they are quite good considering how much they cost. Always been waterproof (tuck the sleeve inside your jacket sleeve if it rains) only criticism i have is that on extremely cold days (frost and snow) wind chill gets in through the seams along the tips of the fingers. Keep an eye out for HG doing sales on winter kit I got mine for about 30quid a couple years back.

Mine were £30. I should point out that mine are still waterproof despite the seam. For journeys over an hour I use a pair of latex gloves as an inner.

OK all this has convinced me I'm going to get a pair of the 3 finger HG Pathan gloves.

My local HG has them at £52.99, I know they are only £49.99 on the net but I like to try be for I buy, so will be popping in on my way home. Thumbs Up

Well tried my 3 finger Pathan gloves this morning and very nice they are to.

I must admit I didn't notice much difference around town but out on the country roads they really are much better than my old pair no numbness at all, my hands were still a little cold but not frozen. I also got them in XL which is a little big for me but will allow me to comfortably add a pair of glove liners as it gets colder.

Thanks to everyone recommending these gloves

Ian

heated grips + Bar muffs = warm hands.

Can be done for less than £50 too.
