Scooter insurance for 16 year old

Hello all,
Apologies if this has already been covered, tried searching and cant come up with a concise answer.

Can anyone recommend an insurer for a 16 yr old on a 50cc scooter ? Tried Confused.com and they are talking about the £300 region which feels high.

16 year olds like crashing; they will crash into cars, bushes, pedestrians, following police cars, hamsters, walls, females, fast food restaurants and the floor. They are also not that great at keeping their posessions in their posession.

This is reflected in the insurance quotes .

Donny, I crashed into a Toby Carvery and my own cousin, resulting in a broken arm which needed to be pinned

In 2006 I paid £170tpft for a 1998 Speedfight, I was 16. That was with Lexham, a year later I paid £160 for tpft insurance on my XR125.
