My MOT is due very soon. I have a Honda CG.

I'm just wondering what the basic criteria they look for is...

I know I have a sticky front brake and the centre stand is fucked up, but I'm not sure those things would make it not roadworthy.

front brake could cause an issue, stand i shouldnt think that would matter, if your that worried remove it for the mot and put it on after.

your best bet is to find a manual like haynes, or find someone with a ebook version of a haynes as they have the mot checklist at the back of it for you to check out Thumbs Up
