MZ master cylinder options

Hi everyone,

My newest bike is an MZ ETZ which has had a bit of a tough life, been cared for but never really cherished if you know what i mean? proper work bike, its stood for more or less a year and there were remarkbly few things to do considering! cleaned the carb and she ran beautifully and still does, but recently the front brakes given me some trouble, i fixed the caliper which is all fine now but the master cylinder is leaking, not too much but i have to top up the reservoir every week or so, so i need to fix it really
(by the way, would that be an MOT fail? If they can find evidence of a leak? you can quite clearly see that there is a leak even if its not dripping just from the change in colour of the metal etc.)

A new master cylinder for an MZ is around £60 i think from Burwins? Which is quite a lot, a new seal kit with res. diaphragm is about £25, but ive read that sometimes new seal kits wont actually fix the problem completely due to fairly high tolerances on the machining on mzs sooo ive had a look around and I can get a used but perfect working order master cylinder from other bikes for like £20 off the bay, are master cylinders fairly generic and interchangeable? so long as its a similar design. is there anything that would stop me putting this:

on to the MZ? Looks really nice, better quality than the MZ part.
If that one wont work are there any master cylinders which are known to be a straight swap or easy swap for the original ones?
