Sun was out, roads still wet but meh.

off i go heading towards Lincoln with a few mates, going round a right hander when a lorry on the opposite side decides to unload some of it's shit in my direction, cue a huge rock flying off the top of it, going through my screen, hitting me in the stomach quite bad and it even fucked my phone. Laughing

luckily, it missed the fairing and tank, the LCD dash has a small scratch on it, but i'm seeing the silver lining, i wanted a double bubble anyway.

yup tried to once i realised what had actually been damaged, at first i thought it just hit me, turned it round and the road leads into a village with loads of roads, i tried a couple different directions but it was nowhere to be seen and i got slowed down by fucking horse riders everywhere shaking there head at me because of my speed / noise. welll they can piss off, horses belong in fields not shitting on the roads. First off, sorry to hear about the damage, Any CCTV around that might be able to help identify the lorry?

Horse were around before cars and bikes Thumbs Up Although i do think the owners should be responsible to clear up all the manure and / or fined.

Shot at, whilst pulling a 120 minger..bullet ricocheted off the dash, and by the grace of god my titanium phone took the shot for me.

I pursued the assassin, and did a burnout on his bollocks.

At least your telephone and bike have character. And best of yet, you have a story to tell about it.

Loud bikes belong on race tracks, not on the roads, a lot of which were originally made for Horse use Wink.

Anyway, rarely helps but you could consider seeing if there was any places near by that might have had cctv running along the route the truck would have taken.

yes origionally maybe, times move on, with the amount of traffic these days the roads are not a place for a wild animal that can react badly to noise or surprise.

can you imagine the amount of problems if people reacted by flipping out when over taken or facing a lorry coming round the corner over the lines? unfortunatly i have to agree with ben on this one. horses belong in fields, not on the roads. for the few people who derive pleasure from such a thing it doesnt half cause some disruption.

+ i wouldnt buck about if a stray plastic bag blew at me.

Heard about/seen plenty of people 'flip out' after being overtaken - often then going on to act quite dangerously.
"Vehicles that have the highest accident rate, that are always acting unpredictably and regularly brake the law have no place on modern roads when the users can afford safer transportation" is a quite reasonable criticism of bikes - and this is why I think it's quite reasonable for them to use the road.

I actually had this conversation with my sister.

She has been riding horses for 25 years, she teaches, and horses are pretty much her whole life! Even she agree's that riding horses on the public roads is stupid. She says there far to unpredictable when there is car's around, even very highly trained horses can still flip out, and she thinks that horses shouldn't be allowed on public highways. Theres plenty of places to ride horses, there is no need to be riding them on the roads. Plus, the hard concrete roads are actually bad for the horses legs, they are much better on a field or in an arena.

I doubt many horse riders choose to ride on the roads for pleasure. But not everyone can afford to have their horses always at places where they can get to a wide range of off-road riding.
