Another question for today ,

I would like to get my young lad started in either motorcross or trials . What age do they have to be to get them started and are there any good clubs round the midlands that cater for young kids . My lad is 6

I think 6 should be just about ok for either.
Sure there will be 'school boy' clubs that cater for both somewhere not too far from you.

Ideally you want to get a cheapisg bike to start with, though of course going for a known make (such as honda XR50) will mean you've got a bit more reliability and better resale.
Definitely go automatic (or semi auto - again something like the xr50 is good because he can start just in first/second gear, then go to changing gears later) so there's less to think about.
Think for either, probably just find some open ground you can use, if not a proper practice area.
