esp if you have read the book
is it worth a trip to the pic's to see it or wait for a decent torrent

I've read the book and even met Howard a few times in person and talked about some of the things he'd done and how true was the book to real life
and seen the trailers, but sometimes the trailers is all that worth seeing

Nope, I intend on reading the book first (autobiography)...currently on page 11. It's my own fault, I keep getting distracted by Murray Walker. I knew I should have held back on the library booking. Rolling Eyes

Mr Nice has been sat there for months waiting patiently to be read. (Thank you to the Hospice charity shop for allowing it to be reasonably priced at .50p) Thumbs Up

Howard has a seed company I deal with through the company I work with
had a few nights out with him in the Dam that was fun the guy can smoke with the best even well into his 50's (he was 60 this year I think)
went out for a meal with him one night with my boss and Shantibaba (howards partner in his seed company)
was in a Thai place having a lamb dish and nearly choked to death on a piece of lamb
had to get up and run to the loo while I was turning blue and literally heave as hard as I could to dislodge it
as I was about to pass out, not good karma to drop dead in front of a kind of hero of mine

Ihave a torrent at home, but not checked it out yet.
I also saw him being interviewed on one of the breakfast tv shows the other day, and he was claiming that the film is very accurate to the truth.

edit : plus, I believe he's originally from Kenfig Hill?? so a local celeb to me

Ive seen it but not read the book, the missus has read the book and said that the book is much better and the film misses loads out.

Don't know a great deal about the guy himself but the film was okay.

Yes he is.
I had a bit of a read last night, currently on page 27. I would have read some more at work today, but 'moaning minnie' my work colleague who should've been in another office came in and ruined my pre-planned morning. Thumbs Down

I've read the book and will watch the movie at some point.

I loved the book. He talks about bringing in a small shipment of only a few tonnes like it was a henry or something and then you think about what you just read and realise to him a small shipment would be a lifetimes supply to us!
