Does anyone use a wireless mouse, if so how long do your batteries normally last? Mine manage about a week but the wireless keyboard has had them in for about 4 months without running out.

Should last longer than a week. Had one and batteries lasted about 2 months (but not used everyday/allday). I'm assuming it's wireless technology rather than bluetooth. If I get another I'll buy those with a recharge unit that you 'park' the mouse into at the end of the day.

I use rechargeable batteries in mine.

They don't last as long, but save you money in the long run.

Shade
cordless.

I use one of those new Micro$oft ones with the leather back. I've had it for about six months and there's no sign of the battery giving up.

Logitech make a mouse with base station/charger. Sadly I bought it for my partner and the cow won't let me steal it Confused
MX700 or something like that, nice to use and it just recharges itself when put back in it's mousehouse.
A big Thumbs Up

Or you could save even more money by buying a cheaper corded mouse and not needing to buy batteries. Thumbs Up Razz

i despise my mum for buying a wireless mouse to bridge a gap of oh about 3 inches, it eats batteries like no tomorrow, and the benefits of 5 quid for 4 high spec AA's really arent there at all

but she wont listen

im all for lazer mouses, but cordless on a desktop pc, why?

Mines a cordless optical one and it's perfect, aslong as I don't have the reciever for it behind a wall or behind my screen it's fine. And the battery's last a good few months. Bought rechargable ones to make it cheaper.

Why not try a cordless track-ball.
My old cordless optical mouse's battery's lasts 2 weeks (if I was lucky) . Had the logitec c/less Trackman over 6 months now and its on its original batteries.
Takes a week or so to get used to but much batter than a mouse. (IMO)
