Hi all,

Never had this before but i have just renewed the insurance on my bike with a new company.

They called me up today requesting a copy of:

+ Both parts of license
+ Proof of no claims
+ Registration document
+ Proof of occupation

First two are pretty standard but the last two seem weird. Does this seem legit?

How can you prove no claims? Confused

Surely you can prove that you HAVE claimed...

Get previous insurers to say that you were insured with them and that you didn't claim.

Sorry, I meant no claims discount in years.

I can easily prove and provide all the info but just seems strange to me.

It will be a request by their underwriter, you should probably ask them what they would accept as proof of occupation...

i was asked for similar stuff recently (seems my occupation counted as "low risk" which must be one of the few advantages to being a civil servant )i just sent them a payslip.
dunno about the no claims though....think i just told them to contact previous insurer?
cheers,
GAZ

The previous company should have sent a renewal quote - most insurers accept that as proof of no claims.

Fortunately Falcon Bikes sent me a letter confirming my NCD, so thats fine.

Apparently, they want a letter from my employer just confirming that i am employed by them in the occupation i stated.

Just out of interest, did you keep the superdream when you stepped up?

Unfortunately Kal, the only reason that i stepped up was because the Superdream was stolen and burnt out. Pretty much un-salvageable. Mad

I have the odd few bits and pieces if you were to need anything btw. Thumbs Up
