title says it all,

had difficulty doing slow-control where you have to rev the engine like a motherfucker, hold the clutch and brake all at the same time and do a figure of eight but eventually adapted to it.

did it on a Hartford HD 125 S, was quite enjoyable despite the clutch being stiff as a dick and the rev-meter not working, so whenever i changed down a gear the engine was screaming like a pleasured whore.

instructor was a bit of an arrogant wanker and quite impatient with me and my friend who've had no experience of riding a bike before.

will probably buy a Yamaha YBR or a newer model Honda CG next week and get out on the roads. Happy days.

Congrats.

Most cbt instructors are like that. My one was, but he turned out to be a really good chap, just no people skills lol.

Good choice of first bikes, nice and sensible. Best thing to do, is just ride the thing. Get some miles behind you. Start on queiter roads, and know you can handle the machine before you tackle trying to share the road with blind cagers.

Well done on getting through, If the instructor was arrogant with you then do not give him any more money when you go for your license, find another training school!!

Welcome to the wonderful world of 2 wheels, just watch out for blind car drivers.

A lot of instructors seem to be harsh with students. The place I went to was no different. The guy that owns the company would give dogs abuse in the mic if you didnt keep up or move when he asked you too.

Most though seem to be typical biker types. While they will shout and swear it is meant in an encouraging way rather than a dismissal way. Best thing to do is give back as well as you get given. I did this and was told after I finally passed my test to come back in 3 years and apply for a job with them

"Your just the type of lunatic to get a job here"

Well done on getting though the cbt and welcome to live on 2 wheels.

As stonsie said, watch out for blind car drivers. I had one of them tonight. He got the finger when he looked to see who's horn was beeping on an "empty" roundabout. Cnut!

Congrats Thumbs Up

I never had any problems with the instructors at the two places that I did my CBT, although I wasn't exactly new to bikes.
