Xena do alarmed disc locks, they can be somewhat sensative but good for the most part. ____________________ Speedshite 50cc > Honda XR125L > Kawasaki GPZ 500 S > 02 Honda Hornet > 05 Honda CG125 winter hack > 04 Kawasaki ER-5 > 99 Honda Hornet 600 > Kawasaki GPZ 500 S > 99 Honda Hornet 600 > 05 Honda CBR600F > 01 Honda Hornet |

I have a heavy chain for the rear wheel and one of these for the front wheel.
https://www.bikesax.com/Merchant2/graphics/00000001/xenavlock_350.jpg
One of them xena locks. I was going to get an alarmed one but considering I have to park my bike out of earshot from the flat I decided against it. ____________________ illuminateTHEmind wrote: I am just more evolved than most of you guys... this allows me to pick of things quickly which would have normally taken the common man years to master

I wouldn't rely on a disc lock alone unless you leave your bike in a v.public place. I reckon 10 minutes with someone who wants your bike enough would have it off...
I use the disc lock, with my chain for best security. However - someone did still try and dig my ignition out a few weeks back Bastards. |

If they wanna nick it, they will nick it.
I once had my Super Tenere nicked from the back yard of a refuge with 7' high fences and a locked gate. The bike had disk locks on BOTH wheels, and they had to get it across 40' of grass lawn that was looked out onto by four apartments and an office. You would think it couldn't be more secure.
Mind you, it was in fucking Dagenham
But in general disk locks are, at the very least, usually a deterrent.
Just don't ride off with them still on
(and if ya do, don't worry, almost everybody does it at some point) ____________________ Not nearly as interesting in real life. |

I have two big F off chains and two disc locks, I chain both bikes together so if anyone moves either bike the alarm will sound on the bandit

Copied from another thread that I posted this in.

You could make a anchor, by filling something BIG with concrete and place a big metal hook in it, for a chain to go through.
Something like a big(ish) oil drum.
Make sure it is heavy, and when/if you move it can be moved (with help from a few friends). With that chained to the bike it might help deter others |
