Google map of CCTV car locations in central London. This will be expanded with everyone's help and be a positive contribution the civil enforcement's alleged goal of "100% compliance without penalties" Mr. Green

So far, it's just London but we hope it can go national. Feel free to post any known locations and I'll pass them on. Obviously, you will be performing a public service if you pass on the map link.

Erm, I thought you were hoping it wouldn't go national, as I thought it was only London using such cars?

It is already used in Kent. (Medway to be precise)

Oh, we know what campaigns you're involved with. It looks like camera cars are your latest infatuation over there these days.

Still, I suppose it must be a lot easier terrorising camera car drivers trying to earn a crust, than spunking money up against the High Court's wall.

Public service my arse; you just like bullying other people and don't care what you do to further your aims. Fortunately, BCF doesn't ban people who make them look like the nasty, vindictive cunts they truly are, nor threaten them with legal action if they try to "Openly discuss the bike parking tax." as you laughingly proclaim.

So, given that you're not wanted here, I'd say your continual return to promote links to your nasty little site's activities does constitute spamming and will be treated as such.

Now, why don't you threaten me with legal action?

Have you become demented?! Confused

"Still, I suppose it must be a lot easier terrorising camera car drivers trying to earn a crust..."

These scum knowingly set out, not to prevent accidents but to illegally raise revenue by setting traps with the express intention of catching people accidentally speeding. And you're defending them?! And attacking somebody who seeks to expose them?! What the fuck are you on?

BLUEX5, I disagree. Let him post.

Freedom of speech is a good thing. If you don't agree with what he says you can either debate it or ignore it.

I usually choose the debate option Wink

Edit: Although i still class it as spamming Wink

What motoring violations can these CCTV cars issue people penalties for?

Personally it amuses me and I don't have any of the objections that I do to the 'no to' campaign as they aren't noticeably inconveniencing the public, aren't giving bikers a generally bad name nor are they making it look like bikers are trying to cheat the country on tax.

That is making you as bad as him Shocked

Let them have their say. And we can then point out the error of their ways, while they flounder around trying to come up with a reason why we should toe their line....
These guys did a staunch job in boosting the No to bike parking charges cause, by there total lack of ability to back the campaign with points that made any sense Laughing

Are you a complete fucktard? or am I just missing the point? These cars are out to catch people who fail to obide by the rules and put other people at risk, most of that list say "signed as left turn only" signed as no motor vehicles" "signed as no entry"

Last time I checked one way systems didn't work too well with two way traffic! Rolling Eyes

If they caught people that were doing dangerous things, rather than things just 'against the law', then I could quite understand it.

For instance in some cases crossing double white lines may be dangerous, but in others it's perfectly safe.
By trying to blindly enforce the law, rather than consider the 'spirit of the law'; you diminish the reasons for having the law and people's respect in those laws.

the councils that use these cctv cars, say that their aim is

"100% compliance"

so any method of raising the public awareness to the presents of a hidden (tiny smart car), that is usually tucked up a side street or behind a much bigger truck, is doing the local council a favour.

of course that is only the case if its not about making money, but councils would never do that...

would they.

If you slap a man on the wrist he will not learn and do it again, if you fine a man his hard earned cash he will think twice about doing it again, if you ban a man from driving he will have little to lose so will carry on driving with no license. If you shoot a man in the face you'r seen as barbaric and inhumane! Monetary fines are the only (humane) solution for order, its like that because it works not because it produces revenue!

Your white line analogy, it may very well be safe to cross the white line, but the bottom line is the white line is there and the law states that you must not cross it, if you decide that you want to abide by it, then by all means cross it, but don't cry about getting caught and fined for it, because it is against the law.

Picking and choosing which laws you want to enforce leaves way too much open to abuse, which is why simple traffic laws have been passed down to non police people such as traffic wardens and hobby bobbys, because everyone knows police abuse their power of "judgement" based on gut, meaning that you could be penalised for being a motorbike rider, but exactly the same offence for a bimbo in her mini winking her eyes and showing some leg could get off with a telling off!

minor road offences are minor road offences, its not hard to avoid them!
