So at the weekend I picked up a KTM 450 EXC for £2k, not sure if it is a good price for it, but it rides lovely and has been serviced and well looked after. Fresh MOT and about 6 months tax, new tyres etc Very Happy

The bloke I bought it off gave me so much stuff to get me going as it was my first cross bike.

He gave me;

Arrow New Battery
Arrow 3 spare sets of levers
Arrow New sprockets
Arrow New brake pads
Arrow Indicators
Arrow Fuel tank
Arrow Wavey disks front & Back
Arrow Exhaust
Arrow Off road tail tidy
Arrow Paddock stand
Arrow knee guards
Arrow 2 x KTM tool kits
Arrow new head stock
Arrow handle bar clamps
Arrow Various bolts for the bike for spares
Arrow A pack that clips to the front mudguard with spares in

I was utterly shocked on how tall these bikes are, I am 6'5" and I am flat footed on the bike at lights etc. Goodness know how the shorter folk get along with these bikes.

Anyway a couple of pics of the new toy;

Very nice! Do you mean your knees are straight when flat footed? What's your inside leg measurement?

Tasty, when's it getting muddy then? I've never been able to flat foot dirt bikes but given that they weigh sod all it doesn't really matter.

Yeah I meant my knees are straight when flat footed, not sure what my inside leg measurement is...It's long though Laughing

It will get muddy as soon as I get it added to my insurance. Can't wait to be honest. Will keep an eye out for the muddy invites in the SE section as I know no green laning routes around here atm.

A 450 2t will be a beast off road the 250 4t I had was plenty powerful even then that was restricted abit.

What sort of power is it putting out 50-60bhp?

Enjoy! KTM's always look really fun.

Think I saw Bishbash at Ace once and he is very tall! Although I am a typical short oriental :p

Nice bike, change the oil on a regular basis and the RFS engine in these will last a long time.

Yeah I noticed the KTMs need a lot of TLC in the oil and filter section, but, I was looking around at the parts available and they all seem pretty damn cheap, which I was rather shocked about.

@ MinhDinh, yes we did meet at the Ace, was good to see you. Wink
