Hello all,
I'm new to BCF, although have been quite a long time reader.
I thought i should start posting, and where else to start than yes,
Problems with my bike!

Now, i know what y'all must think, 'Oh chinese import, bla bla bla.'
Believe me though, this particular bike has never let me down (So far.)
The problem i'm having, is that i think there's an earthing problem in the electrics.
Now, i'm 19 years of age, and on my CBT. This evening, i was going to the next town from my village, and i was pulled over by two policemen, who put on their blues and twos, (I was bricking it.)
It turns out, that my rear light and my brake light weren't working!
Now, i tested them both before i went out, (Mind you, this was before it started bucketing down.)
Luckily, i got off with a slap on the wrist, and had to have my dad escort me home.
Before this happened, i dropped my bike doing a U-Turn (In the rain,) and the bike slipped on a manhole cover. I then noticed that the Indicator relay was a bit off, it was blinking twice the normal speed, (Usually indicates a blown bulb etc, but there wasn't.)
The indicators then went back to their normal speed after a while, and alas; They're back along with my rear light and brake light not working!
The funny thing is, the brake light works when i don't have any lights on, (Daylight driving is okay!)
The rear light bulb hasn't blown, i checked that.
So, to some up all of these issues:
Indicators blinking twice their normal speed,
Rear light not working when i've got the lights on.
Brake light not working when i've got the lights on.

I'll be working on my bike first thing in the morning,
So; If you've got any ideas as to what the problem is, please feel free to email me (XXXXXX) as i can have these on my phone.
I BELIEVE, it might be an earthing issue, but shall have to check tomorrow.

Sorry for the long post Smile Be gentle

Kahher! (Holds hand over mouth and coughs to ones self) Pardon!

My neighbour had one and he had exactly the same problems.
It never even became old enough to MOT it, He gave up in the end.

Have you had any work done on it recently?
I ask because things may not have been put back together properly.

Either that or as previously mentioned you may have a loose connections or the alternator may be packing in.

Check all connections and terminals.
