... do you get from Weatherseal claiming to be a local company? Pissin me off, twice today so far and it happens most days of the week.

"Hi, im phoning from a local company"
"What company"
"Weatherseal"
"A huge chain then that isnt local at all, piss off."

The really annoying thing is, Weatherseal fitted the windows in my current house a year ago!!!

It was the same before the windows were fitted, but why bother keep phoning now?
(btw, I know Weatherseal are normally rip off prices but I did actually get a good deal with them as I knew a guy that worked for them.)

I no longer answer my landline, anyone who needs to contact me, has my mobile. The only reason I still have a landline, is I cant have broadband without it. I think this is daft, as its a cable modem, so doesnt even use the phone line, but its virgin media rules.

I'm the opposite, I use landline always and never use my mobile. I am kinda old fashioned in that way.

My telephone is a pulse dial one from the '50's and I have to pickup to see who it is, if no one says anything for 2 seconds I know it's a organisation 'wiring in' the annoying callers from businesses and just put it back down.

Do what my dad did, after 5 calls from BAC windows one night he invited them round for a quote a bloke appears at the door a week later scratching his head,

'Did you ask for a quote for windows'
'Yes'
'But you already have double glazing'
'I know, now tell you office that so they stop ringing me'
'You have wasted my time'
'I know'
*shuts door*

Virgin do let you have broadband on it's own these days.
However, I've got a feeling in some cases it's actually more expensive - and in others it's only £2 less per month or something stupid, so it ends up that you might as well have it anyway.

We kept getting phonecalls for some bloke ive never heard of. They stopped after i convinced them (with real tears) that he was tragically killed a week ago. Havent called since...

"Im sorry, did you not hear? Dave was killed just over a week ago in a car accident. Did you not hear? *Sniffing and depressed sounding*'
Other person - *Starts crying and shouting*, so i hung up Very Happy

HAHAHA

I kept getting spam calls to my house number which I haven't given to anyone and never use it. So I unplugged it. Thumbs Up (I only have it for the interwebs.)

This. I've been looking on their site as I'm moving out in a couple of weeks, TV, phone and broadband is £30.

Broadband alone is £20

Broadband and phone is £22.

May as well just get the lot, especially with free installation at the mo.
