Hmm seems like they're trying too hard with the humour, UK wins.

Anyone know when the next series is out? They are filming one

I dunno.... Hammond spent the whole of the last series looking lost because of the lack of pre season 15 jokes. May and Clarkson were alright. A new cast and attitude might do it good. I hope it comes back across the pond so we get to see a few episodes.

That looks sooooooo crap. Fair enough, I hate Americans, but even then they tested Lamborghinis on a fecking drag strip.

They seem to test just about everything on abandoned concrete landing strips. Thinking

How about a top gear style bike show, thats what we need. There's never enough bike shows on TV. I don't really consider American Chopper a "real" bike show. It's more like a father and son reality type show with a bit of bike styling thrown in.

As for the american Top Gear. Well, they can't really talk about how well american cars handle, can they.

I've often thought the same. American Chopper is just a pretty bad semi-scripted, reality / situational show about the people and relationships involved. The bikes are sooo boring... same old Harley engined cartoon choppers draped in slightly different bling each time, they're just show bikes.

There are a few dodgy youtube channels with cheesy Americans reeling off specs and figures and of course, MCN is there if you like listening to 2 minutes of wind blasting into the cameras low quality built-in mic with an awkward looking northern bloke stood next to a bike followed by 8 - 10 minutes of footage showing him getting his knee down on it accompanied by a generic "rocking" sound track.

The only bike related TV worth watching is usually some cop show with the title "DEADLY BIKER MENACE" so yea, we need some entertainment to satisfy our particular brand of nerdiness!

Bikes wouldn't be able to fill up a show and I doubt there would be enough interested people to keep it running.

I think Top Gear would be good with maybe 1 feature an episode dedicated to bikes, get someone like Whitham or Foggy in to help present it.

Or maybe one episode a season about bikes obviously Clarkson would sulk but I think it would be good.

They've down the Vietnam one (which I really enjoyed, main reason I want to get a bike), would love them to do something similar again.

one of the guys says something like

"the best bit for me was doing 180mph blah blah blah"

just watching 1 minute of that clip you can see it's garbage, they put gay slow motion effects on it and when the top gear logo comes up, unlike ours there one has to do funky shit and look all jazzy and shit.
