It seems pretty cold quite early this year, even the City was showing zero deg. C ambient at 6:00am.

Morning All

Bloody cold here this morning about -2 deg. C according to our building manangement system, which with wind chill at 50 mph makes it about -13 deg. C.

My commute only takes about 20 mins but my fingers hurt when I got here and that was with winter gloves on, think I will have to get some silk inners see if that helps.

On the plus side though it's a beautiful morning and the mist rolling over the river and lovely colours in the sky almost made up for the lack of feeling in my fingers.

Madly enough, I don't think I *have* a thermometer in my flat.
Its never occurred to me to actually know what temperature it is, apart from "Brrr!" and put the heating on, or "Phew!" and open the back door and front windows.

Although I do have a barometer which my stepmother brought over from NZ out of my dad's personal effects.

I looked more closely at it the other day for the first time since I got it, when it was a particularly grim day, and it was pointing to "rainy" ... and it was! So I suppose it must work.

Do barometers have thermometers in them?
I didn't think to look for a temperature, LOL

Hit -33 using the wind chill calculator around the M25 this morning! Although my hands felt like they were in a sauna with the heated grips and muffs on!

I do enjoy these mornings though! Definately wakes me up on my commute!

I wondered what this new beep was in the car over the last couple of days, turns out it beeps if its < 3c outside...

This morning it was 0.0c on the scale, not sure if it goes below that.

Last night it CLAIMED it was four degrees, not sure what that is with windchill but took it easy anyway.

First outing for the undergloves this winter, was glad of them about halfway home. Also starting to wish I'd bought a Buff or something for my neck. Otherwise was fine, don't have the liner in my jacket yet which surprised me. Oh, and the Bob Heath spray worked a treat, kept it crystal clear all the way.
