Aren't they the best...the leaves are incredible colours, there are conkers and sweet chestnuts all over the roads. It's crisp from the frost but bright blue skies and really bright sun, so bright that it's blinding...

I had some bugger come towards me on my side of the road, and scare the willies out of me...I had to launch towards the ditch to avoid collison. I suspect the angle of the sun had a lot to do with it!!!

I've been working every shift conceivable this week and prefer early morning starts (7am), the skies are clear and sunny all morning and the sun is really hot through the windows, after midday the weather turns again but the sunsets have been good just lately like Kris says. It's not nice working out at night though, was -1 at around 2 am this morning, the lack of cloud makes it horribly cold, I don't think snow is going to be far off if it stays this cold.

This morning was really nice.
Sudden cold snap as you walk out that door, blue skys - then the sodding sun in my eyes going to work.
Work has its own private carpark, litered with conks and chestnuts.
The leaves have yet to fall tho, but lovely colours.

I love Autumn mornings to, wet leaves always make me mega cautious. Only problem I have is I ride West and East directly into the sun in the morning and evening to work and back. Its been bright and brutal on the eyes at the times I have been travelling

Must take my camera to work with me next week, I leave home at 6am, so too dark to see anything, but on the way home at 6pm the hills around Kendal are usually lit with a lovely orange glow as the sun starts to set.
I hate the wet leaves on the road from Windermere to Ambleside though, why are they always lying on the line I would normally take at corners?
