Prepping my CBF125 for winter

Hi,

I'll be running my CBF125 every day through the winter (I don't really have much choice)..
Other than cleaning/lubing up the drivechain each week is there any other maintenance i can do to keep it looking/running its best?

I use Scottoiler FS 365 over the engine currently whenever i've washed it (usually once every 2 - 3 weeks).. but its nearly all gone and i'm wondering what else may be recommended.

I think ACF 50 is the most highly regarded/recommended product on here and lots of other places for protecting a bike during the winter months, serach it on here there are loads of threads about it.

I need to get a tin soon to give my bike a good coating, I think it's about £12 a tin.

I wax the bodywork and apply ACF50 on the metal bits prone to rust and some grease on the block connectors. I ran my CBF through last winter and rinsing the salt off after every ride.

Basically what I do is through the winter I reapply the wax and ACF50 every 3 - 4 weeks but rinse the bike after every ride with water only, I don't wash my bike during the winter period as it will get rid of the wax and ACF50.

need to do more regular washes. even if it is getting a watering can and pouring a can of water over it will help get the salt off.
things to check thoroughly are you brakes/seals and fork seals. keep these clean and the seals should last a bit better over the winter months
acf50 should last quite a while. it doesn't wash off easily with water so should only need a couple of coats over winter.

I use a couple of acf50 rags.
1 is for grubby areas and other for bodywork.

Even tho it smells better than an Avon lady, it's expensive...So spray it on a rag and save the rag for future wipedowns.
