Right I'm bored and it's slow on here at the mo so I thought I'd regale you all with a story.
Warning: the following text contains mild clichés and chest thumping.
On my way home last night I crossed one of the traffic light junctions on my usual route. I noticed off to the left a white Impreza WRX waiting to turn out left on to the carriageway. I thought no more of it and was obliviously carrying on my way until I reached a roundabout on the dual carriageway and as usual performed my rear checks. What do I see, Impreza glued to my back wheel about three feet away. Hmm, not impressed.
I crossed the Island over onto another two lane road and thought I'd just give it a little throttle to get out of his way. After all, I thought "perhaps he's off to a medical emergency" or "his dog needs rushing to the vets as a matter of life or death".
Anyway, triple figures flashed up, I flew past the traffic in the inside lane and pulled over and slowed down to let him past. Err no, he then pulled in behind me and continued to sit on my back wheel but it seemed even closer this time.
Ok, I've had enough he's obviously a twat. We approached another large island that has a slip road off to the motorway, perhaps he's going off here. No, he carries on with the same thing. The island has traffic lights around it so I could possibly have filtered to the front to get out of his way, but the red mist had started to descend and I knew that I was within yards of MY country roads and why not bate him a bit.
I indicated off the main road to turn into the country route and sure enough he follows. Over the hump bridge, through the 30mph limit which I made him stick to religiously and then that NSL sign. Cog down one from 6th, I don't need two and whip the throttle round. After about two secs I look in the mirror and what's that . . . . off in the distance a white spec . . . yep . . . It's a tiny Impreza. Perhaps his car has shrunk??
I actually thought this arse could have given me some trouble on the twisty B's but he clearly can't drive round corners. Four wheel drive, traction control, turbo, what more does he need? A brain by the looks of it!
The best part, the thing I found most amusing, was that I'd had new tyres on the bike at lunchtime and was taking it easy scrubbing them in. I really thought I'm probably not even giving it 50% at the moment. I found it so entertaining that I slowed down and waited at a junction for him and really thought about telling him I wasn't trying yet. He decided to not wait for me and turned off in the opposite direction I was indicating taking him back round the way he came. Shame.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to generalize Scooby drivers etc here. Just one particular dickhead. |

Yeah it was an Impreza and it had nice gold trim, hmm.

Bit like this one ere. ^
Byke - A well driven Impreza or Evo can be a hard thing to shake on the country roads. A car can generally corner faster than a bike if the driver knows what they are doing.

Doesn't look quite right in white, Evo's look the nuts in white though... imprezas should be blue or something ____________________ Current Toys: 06 Yamaha WR250F | Nissan 350Z GT | Tech 4 Homes |

I like scoobies! There's a very nice one that is often playing around near the A30, it looks like the owner's spent a fair wodge on it and he certainly knows how to drive it - had some fun with it in the past and his party trick is lapping the big motorway roundabout going almost completely sideways
Also seen an unbeliavably loud skyline around there, now that's a fuggin quick car. When something is still sitting right on your arse at 170mph it deserves respect ____________________ 3516 Miles, 11 Countries |

Nicely done. There's a white Scooby WRX that lives behind me. Looks quite nice in the flesh to be fair. ____________________ NSR125RR - ZXR750H1 - ZX9R E1 - GSF600S - GSF600SK3 - VFR400-NC30 - SV1000N - ST1100-R - CBR900RR-R - GSF1200SK5 - GSF600SK1 - VFR1200FA - GSXR1000K2 - ZZR1400 D8F
