Went to see this last night. Wasn't really expecting anything from it because I hadn't even realised they were making a second one until thursday night. As with the first one there are points of the film that are crap and some of it is quite pointless and doesn't relate to the story line. There are a couple of funny parts, not sure if they were meant to be funny but everybody laughed. There was a few jumpy parts in the film and some of the cinema was screaming alot. It's not an awesome film and it's not uber shit so worth a watch if you have seen the first one. It clears a few things up about the first film and gives you a bit more info about what's going on. Anybody else seen it or going to see it ??

Saw paranormal activity 1 and it was quite good.

Will be going to see this one sometime soon. Looks more jumpy than 1st from ads.

It is jumpier but the shocks and jumps are pretty much the same thing from the first film.

the dorris and i went to watch it earlier, i wasn't particularly fond of the first one which we watched the other day after she bought it.

i felt that it was pretty much the same storyline with a different cast and slightly different ending. i generally don't get scared/jumpy by horror films and this was no exception. maybe i was expecting too much from how people were bigging it up?
either way i felt robbed of time and money. i wanted to watch social networking.

mostly predictable and not really worth paying for. round and round with the story with so much build up and little conclusion doesn't do much for me. leaving it open for another sequel as well? i'll be downloading it next time around.

if you didn't think much of the first one you probably wont find this appealing either.

did see some good trailers for upcoming films though which left me optimistic.
saw 3d
jackass 3d
harry potter
let me in (i think it was called, has that girl from kickass in)

Not sure how they would do a sequel because this one is a prequel it sort of ends there.

Also saw the trailer for the Let me in. It looks good but a bit worried the trailer has gave it all away. Will be going to watch that though. Also booked my tickets for Saw 3D, really really want to go watch Jackass 3D but our lass doesn't want to see it. Might have to go to the pics on my own. Sad

Also really want to see The Social Network just haven't gotten around to it yet.

it ended the same way as the first. people died and the culprit's nowhere to be found. it ended the night the first one ended and didn't conclude the story.

in the same way as saw, i honestly wont be surprised when another one comes out for next years halloween, but i wont be looking forward to watching it.

As I thought I would be disappointed after watching the first one, all the hype and poeple crying leaving the cinema changing knickers on way past the loo in cinema and when we watched it it was total utter crap. Confused I like the paranormal and have seen scarier with my own eyes than that crap. So I wont be watching the second one as I am sure its some over reacting in the adds for it and hyping it up because a creak on the stairs or the heating starting up on a dark cold winters night has them reaching for the diazepam and screaming like Yvette Fielding needing therapy for the rest of your life.

Paranormal Activity relied on people being scared before they went into the cinema.

I thought it was complete over-hyped garbage and won't be watching the second one.

You are all a bunch of...I don't know a word for it but you are.

PA1 was good. Not brilliant, not good in the sense you can talk about it but good as in it made everyone jump. Don't deny it, everyone in the damn cinema was jumping and we had one screamer.

didn't that katie lass get arrested at the end of PA1 Confused as far as i remember she did. so how the cock did she end up in her sisters house on that night?

Saw it lastnight, was very disappointed. thought it was over too quickly and it was generally just very second rate. Best part about going was seeing the trailer for R.E.D.

I thought it was good. Didn't make me wee / poo or be unable to sleep but it kept my attention for 90 minutes or so. Thumbs Up

'Horror' films just arent what they used to be and the fact that it didnt really scare me or give me a fright doesnt make it a bad film.

Same as trev said, no horror film is like it used to be.
Almost went to see this tonight, weve seen the 1st - watched a D/L version, then was told to see it again as there was a 2nd release(ending). Cue us both seeing the same version 3 times Laughing Laughing - Epic fail.
Id like to see it, Im ok with horrors, and jumpy bits - my mrs ahem, is always in my lap towards the end. Razz
Im just looking forward to Saw! Thumbs Up

Wow I didn't know there were 3 endings. I bought the dvd of the first one and it only had two, one where she throws micahs body at the camera, awesome! Wink

The other where she slits her throat.. ok but pretty boring.

Never seen the police one, glad it wasn't included after all, it sucked.

And if the first one is a prequel, does it matter if she lives/dies/gets arrested? Rolling Eyes

i watched the first one with the police ending, and the reason i was so scared watching it is because you dont know whats going to happend and it builds up so much suspence that it makes you scared to watch what might happen next cos you don't know and that is how to truely scare a person.

I heard mixed reviews and i thought it was going to be ultra-shit, but i must admit, i was frozen with genuine fear.

I can watch alot of scary films and not be bothered like the grudge, my mum and OH love it cos its terrifiying to them but to me its just so fucking predictable.
