just to clear something up when you are asked to pull up to the side of the road in a safe place do you.

1. indicate left, left life saver, pull into the curb, keep indicator on, then when told to move off you, look in mirrors and over right shoulder indicate and and move off then right life saver before you moving out.

2. indicate left, left life saver, pull into curb, cancel indicator, When told to move off you, right shoulder check, move off, right lifesaver before moving out.

that's the only thing i'm not to sure on. Also how would the examiner world this, would he either say.
At the roundabout take the 1st exit
or
At the roundabout take the 1st exit to the right?

Not many round abouts have a first exit on their right Wink

They will give you a direction for example

At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit left.

At the roundabout, go straight ahead, 3rd exit.

At the roundabout, turn right 5th exit.

The left, straight ahead and right, gives you good indicators on what lane you should be in, and which indicator to use Wink

And if you get the wrong exit, don't fret. Provided you didn't cut across three lanes of traffic whilst on your back wheel, the examiner'll sort the navigation out for you.

my instructor says

identify place to stop,
sweep mirrors
Right shoulder check
indicate left
sweep mirrors
left shoulder check
pull over in safe place
cancel left indicator

to pull out.

Sweep mirrors,
right shoulder check
indicate if required (make sure there not a junction near etc even if you stopped in a safe place, a car from a distance travelling fast could think your turning)
lifesaver
go
cancel indicator if required
