It's not quite Mansfield I'm going to, but it's close. It's no worse than where I love at the moment. At least I won't have to worry about getting a 'high 6' anymore!

I lived there for about 6 years.

Depends what you want. It has plenty of decent enough areas. Fair few decent roads and convenient for the Derbyshire Peak District. Work wise convenient for Nottingham, Derby and Sheffield.

However the centre of town now seems to have got a bad night time reputation.

i live nextdoor in chesterfield and have only been to mansfield a handfull of times, i'm not a fan of the roads, no need for that many traffic lights.
