hmm...depends on how alert I have been prior to the turn...if I "know" that there definately couldn't be anyone passing on my nearside, then I probably wouldn't bother...but I generally always do a lifesaver (albeit sometimes "wrongly" placed, i.e. either too far before the actual turning, or perhaps during the turn Confused) on right turns.

I usually check my mirrors every few seconds ("in town" riding that is) to keep an eye on potential problems...

...I don't, however, look over my shoulders at each and every occasion when I pull off, which is one of the first things that is drilled into your head in training. Confused.

Lifesavers are there to be done, and they can certainly prevent accidents, but I reckon that general alertness of the environment that you are in is more important.

I must say Tin does check his mirrors an awful lot!! Following him I noticed that he is almost always moving his head looking around!

OI! My mirrors arent dodgy...........you just need to be stronger to move em Tin! Laughing

Well okay my mirrors are a 'little' dodgy as all I can see through em is my elbows (must get me a bigger bike next time). Smile
