Or you could spend an extra £1 and buy a cargo net for bikes. Much better for holding things to the bike and a lot safer.

I must admit. I do have both, bungies and a cargo net. But overall I use the net. For big items I have been known to use a combination of both. The other week I had to collect a bread maker. It just about fit under a stretched to buggery net and added a few bungies just in case.

But I did fit 24 cans of strongbow in their box under just the cargo net and when I take bigshit (eldest" out to her friends house I bring the lid home under the net.

For the trip to Cornwall, I brought a set of 2 normal bugees, and a set of the ones like you have shown. However it was 4 bungees connected.
Worked a treat and good value - think i paid £2.50 from wilkinsons.
The Net is great also, and it tied a bigger lighter load to the mrs bike once, but wouldnt recommend if you have something heavy - Ie, 12 bottles of Becks, 8 cans of scrumpy and 2 bottles of wine Razz Thumbs Up Karma

Holding 12 cans of lager is an important feature.

They should stress it in the advert.

There's nothing wrong with this but it's no different to two normal ones which can be used in other ways.
I would buy two single ones personally.

It's not a new idea, had something like it about 1985 (and I actually separated them into individual ones as in practice being connected was more often a nuisance than a help)
