Bike ride Sunday from Hackney to Edmonton, to Hertford, to Baldock!

You don't get this in Hackney and it made me happy to find this lil road!

Great B roads around there.

https://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash2/hs005.ash2/33597_454673929418_615694418_5267386_6183725_n.jpg

4 bikes, 2 125's and 2 600's. (Well 1 is 36cc extra :p)

https://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc4/hs892.snc4/72558_454672659418_615694418_5267341_509100_n.jpg

Friend crossing on his CBR 125, new biker of 3 or 4 weeks, but had a crash 2 weeks ago. Front fairing gone but tied together. He's pretty quick.

https://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc4/hs244.snc4/39563_483101743244_559283244_6888876_7958196_n.jpg

Me and my friend Manjur. He has the GSXR 600, 2010 model. Great exhaust on it! Sounds the best I have ever heard.

https://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc4/hs939.snc4/73209_483102028244_559283244_6888884_2983487_n.jpg

My best mate, kind of a poser LOL. Yamha R125, best looking bike I have seen.

https://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc4/hs789.snc4/66895_482998658244_559283244_6886252_5835785_n.jpg

The exhaust is Akropvic Moto GP style apparently. Everyone looks when he rides pass. No baffle so loud, but a kind of Humming sound, not sure what, but sexy like a V twin but different.

https://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash2/hs452.ash2/72495_483101543244_559283244_6888870_1513323_n.jpg

Sorry no pics of the roads we went on. I forgot and enjoyed myself too much.

If I was there near the little river I would said 'later mate I'll see you on the other side' and gone the long way round Laughing

Where in Hertford did you ride? I usually ride up there searching for new roads

It wasn't that cold but I shall check on thursday on my day off. Putting acf 50 on again lol. Also fitting my r and g's since my 15 quid ebay crash bungs will literally give me no protection! Also changing oil to silkolene pro 4! Indicators will be added too, spear shape.

Racer I don't know the road I am afraid, my frienfs used their GPS on their mobiles. I just rode my ass off and left them until a round about LOL.
It is apparently rated 5/5 for riding according to the gixxer guy. I agree it was great. Reached over 90, great bends, scenary, changes from heavy tree tops above to smelly fields, hills, cow shit and 30MPH cyclists.

Post pics of your ride guys! Whore your bikes outside work, I don't care:p I just fell in love with biking again after commuiting and not having much fun. Motrcycling is not just a vehicle, but really a thing you do socially, without that 'biker' mentally, feeling, sense of community, it becomes a mode of transport but really it's so much more.

I would rather die in a bike crash doing something that I really love, than die to cancer or something like that.

Thanks man.

This was a detailed clean today, something I don't normally do.

Usually its a rinse with a pressure washer, snow foam, rinse again, lube chain.

Today I:

Strip off the fairings etc
WD-40 the whole lot, focusing on the bad parts (pretty much used a whole can of the stuff- 450ml Laughing)
Rinsed with the pressure washer, to help uplift/ remove crud etc
Snow foamed
Rinsed with pressure washer again, to remove the snow foam/rest of the crud
Used autoglym conditioner stuff to hand wash the bike
Rinsed again with the hose to remove the soap
Used the autoglym conditioner on the fairings etc that I removed (WD40 if it was quite bad)
Rinsed fairings etc with hose
Used chamois leather over the bike/ fairings
Started the bike up, had a bit of a shock I tried starting with out some box thing that was on the fairings, so I connected it up and it started up fine Shocked Laughing That got the engine etc quite warm and started to dry the under side of the bike etc
Put the fairings back on etc whilst also using 3 in 1 oil on the moving parts
Lubed the chain
Started the bike up and got it all warm, went for a ride

Mine are in the shed, in the dark, winterized and laid up until the spring. All except the side panels off the Blade, they're in the sauna, drying after a wash.

Nice, not on a down hill slant is it? If it is, make sure its in gear! Razz

Put my bike on charge again today, a little worried about the immobiliser as well, not going to fry my battery am I? Confused

Also the other day put virtually a whole (large) can of acf on the bike, and started up (and briskly walked away... it looked like it was on fire) Hopefully that will give it some decent protection till I get the AYB treatment Very Happy

Not me, but it did get abused at a bike rally somewhat.

I think that was half an hour before i hit it with a hammer and ragged it across the field to promptly highside at 40ish whilst practicing drifting under the influence of too much cider.

Good times

Cheers

After spending an hour or so sliding around single track roads carpeted by wet leaves, this view appeared from between the trees. Time for a piss stop and quick pic:
