Booking two months off work and going for it on my XR!So the planning starts! I will keep you all updated as I go. I will be making a few small mods to my bike e.g adding a charging system for my satnav,phone,laptop....

Im a Mental Health Keyworker mate, stressful job so they are pretty good for letting you have time off. I have no idea where I am going yet.

I just know I'v book July and August off work and I'm hitting the road. I'll have some money saved up for the trip. I will also give my bike a big service before leaving like I did last time!

I'v pretty much go everything I need to go travelling from my last tour.

I will be installing a 12v auxiliary power socket somewhere on my bike. That would of made my life so much easier last time but I was too scared to do it. I just cant see anywhere I can install it to though!

Anyway! This weekend I'm going to look at camp sites around Ireland and Wales.

Again I will be touring alone!

I like your spirit, I'm hoping to do something similar in the summer. Sometimes it's nice to ride on your own, take things at your own pace, no body to upset etc.

Thanks mate, I loved being on my own on my last tour. I must remember rest days and I will use a B&B a few times if I can find somewhere safe to lock up my bike!

This!

I have 3 weeks holiday to use before April 2011 so might try a weeks tour on my little Rieju, inspired mostly by the 125 tours on this forum.

If you fancy a bit of company for a few days and I can get the time off, I might be able to join you for a couple of days.

Id love some company for some of it mate! Touring on a 125 is no big deal just means you get there a bit slower is all! You can carry as much stuff as they do on the bigger bikes.

strange thing is that my MPG got better with my bike loaded up on my last tour!
