Ok Folks I just got this little, (LOL), beauty for absolutely nothing! Shocked

It's a BMW K1200RS or, as I will refer to it in any further correspondence, "the barge".

It's got some minor crash damage, and apparently the crank has "snapped", not a very technical term but that's what I've been told. Confused

Gear selection is ok, but something's seized somewhere, can't turn the back wheel when it's in gear.

Apparently it's an ex police bike, that stopped working and was left in the corner of a workshop!

Anyone know how easy the engines on these are to work on?

It's a bank holiday here tomorrow, so I'll have a ratch around it then.
Anything obvious I should be looking for?

Snapped crank.. I'd have left the guy with it to be honest! More hassle than its worth in my book. Best of luck though!

rip it to bits and sell parts on ebay its not worth fixing Thumbs Up

Didn't go looking for it, a neighbour rolled it down the hill to my house and said do what you want with it.
I'll probably put a few bits on ebay, keep anything that seems useful and chuck the rest in the wheelie bin!
