Found a crappy chinese road legal pit bike, thought it might be a laugh to sod around with it in the larger car parks near me, few quick a and b road rides.. just a spontaneous buy to be honest..

Trying to insure it on the other hand...seems a challenge!

Its a Masai 125 thing...and its been road registered, been insured for the last 500 miles but the guy got banned Laughing
So can anyone swing an insurer for a Masai pit bike?

Ive tried MCE, no luck. Rampdale doesnt seem to like me...it quotes but says no. even after removing all my claims just incase!
Confused is confused as to what bike it is... I just want to have a play Very Happy

Google tells me Bennetts & Lexham insure various pitbikes. pitbikeclub.co.uk has got loads of threads about such things.

Because they first grew up being used in race paddocks to get around I suspect - start with a CRF70 with a nice 4 stroke semi-auto and it's easy to squeeze in, but has enough go to get from one end of a paddock to the other fairly quickly.

Oh and when the engine blow up, I'll buy the frame off you Thumbs Up.

But didnt Binge spend 3 grand on them. Yeah it looks nice and its cheap, and it'd be a bit of fun to piddle about on, but an expensive money pit? I'd rather get a DT125

Yea, a full-size off-road bike is more fun generally and if you want a decently fast small bike, just get a 85cc crossers; can get them converted to SM and they make lots of power and don't weigh much as stock.
