In light of recent events meaning that this forum may potentially be monitored by Police is there any way a Mod can delete my account and remove all my posts?

Thanks for any help.

In a word, no. You'd have to delete them yourself.

Once you've put something on the internet you can't take it back.

The post would still be in wayback, google cache etc

Just a warrning - I've heard that 'the roads' are also monitored by the police! Thumbs Up

For the record, I can be absolutely sure the forum is 'monitored' by Police - as throughout it's life there's usually been several regular members than openly discuss their job in the police Smile.

Didn't Vespa get a program to delete all her posts or something?

Hi

It wouldn't be difficult to knock up a script to delete posts, but the posts are still likely to be cached on google and Korn probably has them all on backups anyway so could be forced to release them to the police.

All the best

Keith

Could you please link to the threads/posts with all your dodgy habits and lawbreaking in please, so that I can have a look at them before you delete them.

Thanks.

Shuting the stable door after the horse has bolted Rolling Eyes

If you don't want to fall foul of the law, then either don't break the law or dont post video's of you breaking the law.

It should be considered that posting on a forum is like, say, writing to a newspaper. You are putting it up for the whole world to see; though most won't.

When I had my letter regarding the local canabis sales published I requested my anonymous forename rather than unique surname was used. While I didn't actually smoke it or was involved in anything I was commenting on, I knew that it was quite likely an employer or future employer might notice it and get the wrong impression.

As with everything in life, you need to consider who you audience is - most people will talk to colleagues at work differently to family at home. Further, you'll usually find people taking a slightly different approach to the women in Finance than their departmental friends say Smile.

I have read 10 pence short's stuff on piston heads before.
I'm often amused by people 'giving it large' on the internet about some quite serious stuff - which suggests either their making it up, or rather foolhardy.
