Passed my mod 2 this morning Mr. Green

So with a year off the bike, and 5 hours training in total, i've passed mod1 and mod2 a week apart, both with 0 minors.

Go me.

Soon to be on the GPZ500s, once i can get the money together for insurance!!!

That should be interesting Laughing

Well done on passing your test. Your obs always did look pretty good from your videos. so Thumbs Up

Given previous history, might I suggest fitting some sort of crash bar or bung over the water pump housing. GPZ500s crash pretty well but if it goes down on the right side, you WILL hole the waterpump housing.

If it's a new shape one, you'll find the flasher stems attach to the front fairing by pushing through a hole in it. There is then a plate that fits into the back of the rubber stem to stop it coming out again. If you remove this plate, the stem will still stay put but if you knock the flasher, it'll pop out and hang there on the end of the wires. Hopefully without breaking either the stem or the fairing so you can simply pop it back in again. Worked well for me in the past.

Cheers Thumbs Up

Gonna have a look at crash bungs for the engine... just to protect that.

The fairing is a mess anyway, and i've taken the indicators off and replaced them with mini ones...

So if it goes down, they won't make contact.

Thanks for the info though, i'll look into that Thumbs Up

Cheers.

Dunc.

Looks like the waterpump housing already bit the dust and has been welded up from that pic.

Saves you a job.

I's the crosshatched bit that goes. Usual repair is to TIG a bit of flat plate over it.

I wouldn't worry about England, as he only rides the 'coast road' anyway.

I'd say well done, but you've taken so long to get your arse in gear, all you deserve is 'about time!' Very Happy

Thumbs Up Nice one.

Stinkwheels right about the water pump housing by the way, worth some sort of bars since it's a pain in the arse to find a replacement if you put a hole in it.
